[Saba Sports News] The Indian cricket team has been in excellent form, firing on all cylinders and appearing unstoppable, having won all of their World Cup 2023 matches so far against Australia, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The next mission for Rohit Sharma-led side is to win against Bangladesh in a match scheduled on October 19 at Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium.
The players had a rest day on Monday since they travelled from Ahmedabad to Pune on Sunday after defeating Pakistan by seven wickets. They will hit the nets on Tuesday.
However, as reported by Hindustan Times, India head coach Rahul Dravid went directly to the MCA Stadium after landing at the Pune airport to assess the pitch. Notably, it is a ritual for Dravid to visit the ground as soon as he arrives at a new destination instead of going into the hotel first.
Speaking of the recent matches of the Men in Blue, they pulled off a remarkable victory against Australia in Chennai, winning that contest by six wickets. They played against Afghanistan in Delhi and secured an easy victory by eight wickets. In their last fixture against arch-rivals Pakistan, they registered another one-sided win.
It will be interesting to see whether India will choose to bat first if they win the toss as they have won all their matches by bowling first. On the other hand, Bangladesh have secured only one win in their three games.
