[Saba Sports News] A 15-year-old schoolboy displayed incredible passion for cricket by cycling for hours to watch the second India vs Bangladesh Test at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The final Test of the series began on Friday (September 27).
Among thousands of spectators, it was Kartikey, a teenager from Unnao, who captured everyone’s attention. He cycled an impressive 58 kilometers just to see his cricketing idol, Virat Kohli, in action.
Kartikey began his journey at 4 am and reached the stadium seven hours later, with full support from his family. However, his hopes were dashed as India opted to bowl first after winning the toss, leaving him unable to watch Kohli bat.
This was India’s first time in nine years fielding first in a home Test, with the last instance being in 2015 against South Africa. Unfortunately, the first day of the match was also disrupted by rain, with only 35 overs bowled, leaving Bangladesh at 107/3 by stumps.
India, leading the series after a commanding win in Chennai, are looking to secure a clean sweep against the visitors.
