[Saba Sports News] During Belgium’s home European
Championship qualifying match against Sweden, a suspected terrorist attack
occurred in Brussels. Two Swedish fans were fatally shot, and a taxi driver
sustained injuries. The injured driver is currently in stable condition.
Following discussions with both teams and local authorities, it was decided to
cancel the second half of the match and reschedule it for a later date. Reports
indicate that an individual armed with an AK47 opened fire on fans near the center
of Brussels before fleeing the scene. The shooting incident took place
approximately three miles away from the stadium, prompting officials to request
that fans remain inside the stadium for up to thirty minutes for safety
purposes, as the gunman was still at large.
