[Saba Sports News] In the recent European Championship
qualifying match between Sweden and Belgium, the first half ended in a 1-1 tie.
However, an unfortunate incident occurred outside the stadium, where two
Swedish fans were shot. In order to contain the situation, the match had to be
halted. UEFA has now released an official statement regarding this matter,
stating that the match will conclude with a final score of 1-1. There will be
no replay, and the yellow cards issued during the game will still stand. Both
the Swedish Football Association and the Belgian Football Association agreed to
this decision, as neither side expressed a desire to play the match again.
Importantly, the outcome of this match will not impact the qualifying situation
in Group F, as Belgium have already secured qualification, and Sweden had been
eliminated before the match.
