[Saba Sports News] According to recent reports from
various English media outlets, Premier League team Everton are facing
punishment from the Premier League for breaching the Financial Fair Play (FFP)
Policy. The severity of the punishment is significant, as Everton are set to
receive a 12-point deduction. If the points deduction is confirmed, Everton
would become the first team to have points deducted this season. Currently,
Everton have accumulated seven points in nine matches. With the deduction, they
would find themselves at the bottom of the table with -5 points. The issue with
Everton revolves around their losses, which have totalled £371.8 million over
the past three years, significantly surpassing the Premier League’s limit of
£105 million. As a result, they are required to face the consequences imposed
by the Premier League.
