[Saba Sports News] Madame Tussauds Singapore, a renowned wax museum, introduced a lifelike wax figure of veteran Indian cricketer Virat Kohli during the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. Kohli, known for his exceptional batting skills and proficient leadership, has been a cricket icon since his international debut in 2008.
Kohli’s wax figure is adorned in an official Team India cricket kit, personally donated by the cricketer himself. It is prominently displayed in the Sports Zone alongside statues of legends like Cristiano Ronaldo, Yao Ming, and Sachin Tendulkar.
Steven Chung, the General Manager of Madame Tussauds Singapore, expressed pride in adding Kohli’s wax statue to their collection of sporting icons. He noted Kohli’s unwavering commitment to excellence and charismatic personality, which have endeared him to millions of fans worldwide.
Kohli, in response, conveyed his gratitude to Madame Tussauds for this unique honor. He acknowledged the efforts of the talented artists who crafted the statue, expressing his appreciation for his fans’ love and support.
Mahmood Gaznavi, President of the Singapore Cricket Association, expressed delight in having a figure of such a legendary cricketer in Singapore, describing Kohli as a symbol of strength, character, and skill rolled into one.
