[Saba Sports News] Miles Bridges turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest due to an alleged violation of a protection order. This is the latest development in a series of legal issues for the Charlotte Hornets forward.
Bridges surrendered in Charlotte, N.C., and was released on a $1,000 bond. He missed the entire 2022-23 NBA season due to domestic assault allegations from last June, to which he pleaded “no contest” to avoid jail time. Despite gearing up to play this season, his NBA future remains uncertain.
The alleged violation of the protection order occurred in January but had not been previously served. Bridges also faces an unserved criminal summons for an incident on October 6, which includes another alleged protection order violation, misdemeanor child abuse, and injury to personal property.
Details reveal that Bridges continued to contact his ex-girlfriend through phone and social media. In the October incident, he reportedly threw billiard balls at her vehicle during a custody exchange, with their children inside, and issued verbal threats.
Both the Hornets and the NBA are investigating the situation and gathering more information. Bridges, who has played four NBA seasons since 2018, was expected to receive a substantial contract before these allegations came to light.
