[Saba Sports News] Former NBA player Nick Young, known as the Swag Champion, is making a return to basketball with the Macau Black Bears in China.
The team officially announced his signing on Instagram, and he is expected to debut in late October. Despite being 38 years old, Young had a 12-season NBA career with six different teams, including the Lakers, where he was a fan favorite known for his on-court antics. He won an NBA championship with the Warriors in 2018.
After his last NBA appearance in the 2018-19 season, Young played in Ice Cube’s BIG3 league and dabbled in celebrity boxing.
Although he signed with the Zhejiang Lions of the CBA in late 2020, there is no recorded statistical evidence of him playing for them. Now, Young is set to play for the Macau Black Bears in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL), marking his return to competitive basketball.
