[Saba Sports News] Sony has recently entered into a
deep partnership with Manchester City in an effort to establish connections
with fans worldwide. During a speech, Sony executives mentioned that only 3% of
Manchester City’s international fans have the opportunity to attend matches at
the Etihad Stadium. The executive cited Sony’s collaboration with the National
Hockey League as an example of how hockey leagues engage with younger
audiences. Some fans expressed that watching the games drew them closer to
Manchester City, but they were deterred by the high costs of travel. In
response, certain fans proposed that Sony should organise football-related
competitions and sponsor the winners to visit the Etihad Stadium.
