[Saba Sports News] Ravindra Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba Jadeja, recently shared a photo of the cricketer’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) membership card. Rivaba, who is a Member of Parliament representing the Jamnagar North Assembly constituency, joined the BJP in 2019 and won the 2022 assembly election, defeating AAP’s Karshanbhai Karmur.
The BJP has launched a membership drive to engage the younger generation and highlight the government’s achievements, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi being the first to renew his membership. The party aims to enroll two crore primary members in Gujarat.
Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja retired from T20 internationals after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 victory on June 27.
Reflecting on his career, Jadeja wrote, “With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals… Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true.”
Jadeja missed the following white-ball series against Sri Lanka and was initially included in the Duleep Trophy but later withdrawn without explanation. He is expected to return to action in India’s two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting on September 19 in Chennai.
