[Saba Sports News] Rohit Sharma made a strong return, hosting a press conference ahead of India’s Test series against Bangladesh. This marked his first media appearance in over a month, and his responses were concise and straightforward.
Although fans were waiting for his signature witty remark, it came at the end when Rohit addressed the chatter from Bangladesh’s camp.
Bangladesh, fresh off a historic series win in Pakistan, have their best chance to beat India, according to some. Their captain, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and pacer Nahid Rana even hinted at their intentions, but Rohit dismissed the noise.
He said, “Every team wants to beat India. Let them enjoy themselves. We just need to focus on winning the match.”
Rohit emphasized that every Test match is crucial, and the Bangladesh series is not a warm-up for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
With 10 crucial Test matches ahead, India’s focus is on winning each and reaching the World Test Championship final. Despite Bangladesh never having beaten India in a Test, Rohit isn’t taking them lightly.
The Indian captain acknowledged the challenge of jumping back into Test cricket after a month-long break but found comfort in the team’s experience and preparation.
Rohit also reflected on the pressure of being an Indian cricketer, emphasizing that even after winning the T20 World Cup, the goal remains to win every series and keep making an impact.
