[Saba Sports News] Montpellier, a French Ligue 1 team,
have officially announced the termination of Mamadou Sakho’s contract after he
attacked coach Del Zakari. Reports indicate that this incident was not a sudden
occurrence but the result of a long-standing conflict between Sakho and the
coach. Apparently, the tension between them escalated into a quarrel, during
which Sakho physically assaulted the coach by hitting him and grabbing his
collar, causing him to fall to the ground. Following the incident, fans
plastered the entrance of the club’s training base with slogans insulting Sakho
and his family, though the club later removed them. Sakho, a 33-year-old player
who has previously represented Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Crystal Palace,
joined Montpellier in 2021 and had been playing for the team since then.
