[Saba Sports News] Italian media reports suggest that
Faccioli has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and has been handed a
seven-month suspension. Italian Football Federation President Glavina commented
on the situation, stating that anyone who makes a mistake will face
consequences, and the federation will strive to deliver a swift judgment.
However, he also emphasised that the federation will not give up on supporting
players and will provide assistance when needed. Glavina further addressed the
prevalence of gambling addiction in Italy, describing it as a chronic disease
affecting approximately 1.5 million gamblers. He highlighted the contradiction
of the country earning around 16 billion euros from the gambling industry while
simultaneously attempting to dissuade young people from participating in
gambling activities.
