[Saba Sports News] After India’s historic win over New Zealand after 20 years in an ICC event, Kohli was seen chilling near the pool at Dharamsala after playing yet another innings of the highest quality on Sunday.
The Rohit Sharma-led India defeated the Black Caps by four wickets while chasing 274 runs.
Tom Latham and Co. had posted a total of 273 runs in 50 overs while batting first with the help of a century knock by Daryl Mitchell and a fine innings by Rachin Ravindra, who scored 75 against the Men in Blue.
In the dicey run chase, Rohit, as usual with his attacking strokeplay, put India in the driving seat. However, the skipper failed to reach his fifty and got bowled out by the New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson. He also removed Shubman Gill from the crease in his following over as India lost their second wicket at a score of 76.
Nevertheless, the chase master, Kohli, played yet another brilliant innings of 95 runs off 104 balls. The 34-year-old missed his 49th ODI century by just five runs, but before getting out to Matt Henry, he pushed India to the touching distance of the victory.
Kohli, after India’s win in Dharamsala, took to his Instagram account and shared a picture of himself enjoying near the swimming pool at the team hotel, soaking in the rays of sunlight while wearing a cap on his head. He captioned the post as, “A very pleasant morning in beautiful Dharamshala ☀️.”
Kohli will be next in action on October 29 when India will lock horns with England in Lucknow.
