Sports News] With four races already completed in the new F1 season since its
commencement in March, the rebranded Alpine team has struggled to deliver
satisfactory results. The team is currently facing pressure from its top
management. Reports indicate that after the first four rounds of the 2024
season, Alpine finds itself at the bottom of the standings, failing to score a
single point. Since their return to F1 as a manufacturer and subsequent change
to the Alpine brand in 2021, their performance has been underwhelming, with
only one victory to their name, leaving them as the last-ranked team. The
editor suggests that the primary issue lies with the racing vehicles
themselves. While other teams have introduced superior new racing cars, Alpine’s
A524 continues to perform at a similar level to the previous season. This
constant lack of improvement has put them under immense pressure throughout
this season. Consequently, the team’s leader is left with no choice but to
handle the mounting pressure from the top management. Unable to deliver the
desired results or enhance the car’s performance, their best hope currently
lies in increased investment in research and development, aiming to improve the
car’s parameters inherited from the previous team. This approach may pave the
way for improved rankings.
