[Saba Sports News] Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli recently displayed his witty side when questioned about his alternate career choice if he hadn’t pursued cricket professionally. His response not only showcased his humorous personality but also shed light on his journey as a successful businessperson.
At an event, Kohli was asked, “What would have been your alternative career if you weren’t a cricketer?” His candid and humorous reply was, “Pata nahi yaar, shayad business. Honestly, maine kabhi socha nahi. Mujhe bilkul business chalana nahi aata tha, ab thoda sa aata hai. Agar bina cricket ke business karta toh log 200% mujhe bewakuf bana dete. Ab thoda bahut aata hai business karna, bahut dhakke aur dhoke khaake” (I don’t know, maybe business. Honestly, I never thought about it. I never knew how to run a business but now I am slowly learning how to do it. If I had been running a business without cricket, then 200% of everyone would have made a fool out of me. Now, after facing many betrayals and hardships, I am gradually learning).
Kohli has diversified into various business ventures, including investments in brands like Rage Coffee, the fitness center Chisel, menswear brand WROGN, and Blue Tribe, alongside his wife, Anushka Sharma. He has also ventured into the restaurant industry with investments in establishments like One8 Commune.
In the ongoing IPL 2024, the star batter has been in exceptional form, scoring 542 runs in 11 innings and emerging as the highest run-scorer of the season. However, he has faced scrutiny recently due to his slow strike rate.
