The tournament schedule, which was made public on Sunday, states that the opening match of the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup would be played in Dhaka on October 3 between England and South Africa. On the first day of competition, Bangladesh, the hosts, will play one of the qualifiers in Dhaka.
On October 4 at Sylhet, the reigning champions Australia play the other qualifier. The highly anticipated India-Pakistan game is scheduled for October 6 at Sylhet.
South Africa, England, the West Indies, and Bangladesh are in Group B with the other qualifier, while Australia, India, New Zealand, and Pakistan are grouped together in Group A along with one other qualifier.
Bangladesh is hosting the competition, and it is slated to start on October 3 and conclude in Dhaka on October 20 with the final. October 17 in Sylhet and October 18 in Dhaka are the dates of the semi-finals.
There will be 23 games, with Dhaka and Sylhet hosting them. For the second time, Bangladesh is hosting the Women’s T20 World Cup.
